For the federal fiscal year 2016-2018. The Richland County Transit Board (RCTB) has proposed a goal of .02% (two-tenths of one percent) of expended ferderal funds for disadvantaged business enterprise (DBE) participation. The RCTB participates in the State of Ohio unified certification program and encourages DBE businesses to become certified through that program, and to notify the RCTB of certification.
Richland County Transit has established a goal of .25% of the Federal financial assistance received during the period of federal fiscal years 2019 through 2021, to be spent on expenditures to companies that have been certified as Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE). RCT expects to expend approximately $1,350,000, in prime contracts (purchases) using Federal funds during each of these years. The contracts will include the purchase of fuel; parts and supplies; contract services for transit management, planning, and vehicle and buildings and grounds maintenance; insurance; utilities; and other daily operational contracting opportunities. We encourage certified DBE’s to contact RCT at 419-522-4504 to be considered for these contracting opportunities. For questions or comments regarding this goal, please contact the RCT Fiscal Officer, Kathy Adams at 419-774-6396, or by email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
